Where do you begin to search for an agent?

There are many decisions to make once you decide to move home: Do you buy or sell first? What type of mortgage do you need to climb the property ladder? And how will you co-ordinate accommodation so you’re not left stranded between properties?

And here’s the most important question – how will you achieve a price that helps you  reach your next property goal?

Firstly, our team will be delighted to assist you. We’ll provide an appraisal of your home and a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA), which features examples of properties of similar size and style to yours that have sold recently.

Our team will also advise you on improvements to maximise the value before it goes on the market. We’ll also discuss our approach to marketing your home, generating buyer interest and progressing to a great deal.

If you wish to expand your search for an agent, we’ve listed eight approaches, but we’re confident you’re already in the right place!

Seek referrals – More than a third of all agent appointments come through word of mouth. So, tap your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues for a recommendation. However, responsibility for your decision ultimately rests with you.

Inspect a property – You can judge an agent and their team by going to one of their open homes or auctions. Did they take your details? Did they ask questions and show an interest in your situation? Did they follow up with a phone call afterwards?

Online profile – Search for local agents and see if anyone really catches your eye. Some agents will produce videos of properties they’re selling. That’s a good way to see them in action.

Local sponsorships – Real estate agents do a lot of marvellous community work, such as sponsoring local activities like school fetes and sporting competitions. This marketing activity demonstrates a commitment to the local area.

Social media – Check out an agent’s social media profile, paying attention to their personal brand and tone. Note the quality of their content and the listings they promote.

Direct mail – Agents spend time and money dropping cards in letterboxes that highlight a recent sale. Have any of these impressed you?

Reading blogs – Of course, if you’re reading our blog, then you’ve already found your ideal real estate agency! We’d be delighted to assist you with your property needs. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
