There’s also nothing quite like the scent of a natural tree that fills the home during the festive period. The merest hint of pine can conjure up memories of family gatherings.
In the name of sustainability, it’s easy to recycle a real tree, of course. And that should never be discounted in these days of environmental responsibility.
Artificial trees:
These have the benefit of allowing you to choose a tree that’s perfect for your home. There are no shortage of alternatives, as any scroll through amazon.com will show. You can select a green plastic tree that does a fair impersonation of a natural fir or purchase one of silver or green tinsel.
For the budget-conscious, an artificial tree is cheaper, and you don’t have to keep spending cash each year to buy a new one.
There’s no need to water the tree to keep it alive or continually clean up the pine leaves that fall onto the carpet.
Fire is a higher risk in winter as folks enjoy log fires and use electric heaters more frequently. A plastic tree is less flammable and a safer choice.
