Superstars show confidence in market

The luxury property market continues to show impressive strength, backed by several celebrities who are making their moves.

If you’re feeling tentative about putting your home on the market, perhaps you’ll be swayed by these superstars.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Elton John has put his two-level Atlanta condo on the market. It’s on the 36th floor and is said to be 13,332 square feet. He’s asking almost $5 million.

1960s mansion

Another Atlanta property for sale is a 9,000 square feet mansion owned by actors and comedians Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone. They bought the property more than five years ago for $2.3 million. Today, they’re seeking $4.9 million.

Persistent push

Entertainer Jennifer Lopez wants $24.9 million for her 9,500 square foot New York duplex penthouse. She’s been trying to sell since 2017 when she asked $27 million. It’s in the Whitman Mansion, a Georgian-style building that’s almost 100 years old. Lopez is said to be spending more time on the West Coast with actor Ben Affleck, her new husband.

Ranch ready

Singer and actor Kris Kristofferson is trying to offload his NorCal Coast ranch. On 557 acres, the property has almost a mile of coastline. He wants $17.2 million for the property, which was a dairy farm in the 1800s.

Hot-shot

Celebrities are also buying big. Soccer superstar, Argentina’s Lionel Messi, has paid $10.8 million for a waterfront palace in Fort Lauderdale. Measuring 10,400 square feet, it has eight bedrooms and a chef’s kitchen. He’s just left Paris St Germain to play for Inter-Miami. And he’s making as big an impact on the pitch as he has on the local real estate scene.

Horse trade

An equestrian estate in South Florida has been bought for $9.1 million by supermodel Gisele Bündchen. According to the Wall Street Journal, the purchase was made by Flamboyant Tree LLC, which has ties to Bündchen.
