Six ways to dress your home for festivities

For many owners preparing to put their property on the market in 2023, this will be the last Holidays in their current home: so let’s make it a festive season to remember.

As an experienced agent in your neighborhood, I know some families can get emotional about moving house. The memories created in the home can make it hard to leave.

So, as we approach YuleTide, I’ve come up with some ideas to help make your home genuinely festive for one last time. I hope you find them inspirational.

Coordinate colors

Go big with one color and two accents for all your decorations this year. It will all look elegant and impress family and friends. Silver and blue are a classic choice to represent ice and snow. Or, you can opt for the more traditional red and green.

Wreath style

It’s comforting to see wreaths hanging on neighborhood front doors. It’s a romantic symbol that declares the Holidays are here. Consider dressing your wreath with succulents, pine cones, dried fruit, and cinnamon sticks. For even more sass, add a string of solar lights.

Style your tree

Everything depends on getting your tree perfect. If you’re coordinating colors, the consistency of tinsel, ribbons and baubles will ensure your tree looks stunning.

Best baubles

Find a retailer to print your selected family photos onto tree decorations. This is a touching reminder of loved ones who cannot be with you.

Table manners

Spend time ensuring your table is dressed perfectly. If you’re opting for a color scheme, don’t forget to coordinate the crackers! Perhaps use a lovely glass bowl containing colored marbles for the table centrepiece.

Ornaments

Painted pine cones and candles will add to the festive spirit around your home. Strategically placing matching ribbons, especially in the kitchen and at door entries, will enhance the effect.

Be inspired

Finally, spend a little time checking Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration and to help you plan any purchases.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a happy and safe Holidays. If I can help you with any of your property needs, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy Holidays!holi
