Little changes can make a big difference to how you feel about your home so if you are bored, or your rooms are feeling a bit dull, it’s time to have some fun.
You don’t need to knock down walls or rip out and replace a kitchen to make everything seem more comfortable.
Perhaps it’s time to move the furniture around and grab a few more decorator items?
These few ideas will get you started:
Move it about
Changing the furniture layout can often make a huge difference in the living area. Consider how you can place the couch and chairs to encourage conversation instead of the TV being the focal point.
Add color
There’s no need to break out the paint pots. Use throw rugs and colorful cushions to give any room an additional lift.
Fabric switch
We tend to forget the importance of windows. Don’t hide them behind boring curtains. Go for a new fabric to add something fresh.
Declutter
Reducing bric-a-brac will give your home a sense of additional light and space, making it easier to clean. Maximize your storage, and you’ll be amazed at how your home will be transformed.
Natural touch
Indoor plants are back in fashion. Gen Z and Millenials love them, that’s for sure. A splash of green leaves works wonders in the bathroom and kitchen.
Behind closed doors
There’s probably no room that benefits more from a declutter than the kitchen. Throw out all the utensils, plates and cups you don’t use, or donate them to charity. Rearrange your cupboards for maximum storage and take as many gadgets off the countertop as possible.
Light it up
Improving your lighting, especially in the living room and kitchen, can change everything. A lamp with soft lighting is a lovely touch in the living area. Realigning your lights to target the countertops can make food preparation a pleasure.
