6 Instagram property accounts to inspire you

Seeking inspiration to improve your home can become a fabulous preoccupation with countless websites, Instagram accounts, and old school magazines ready to encourage big and small projects.

Even as an experienced agent, I find home makeover stories compelling. They often inform my views on how my clients can upgrade their home to maximize value before putting it on the market.

If you’re thinking of moving in the short to medium term and wondering how best to prepare your home for sale, you’ll be able to plunder some amazing ideas from Instagram, Pinterest and magazines such as Architectural Digest, or Better Homes & Gardens.

But right now, Instagram is proving a great place to get your fix of property inspo. So here’s my six favorite real estate Instagram accounts that will inspire and entertain you.

@jademillsestates

Jade has charisma and great content. She has lots of posts and photos about properties that she has for sale that are inspirational property. She has a separate content series called #30SecondswJade.

WSJ Real Estate

Wonderful photography with links to their excellent writing about the market and interior and exterior design trends. You can also salivate over some of their exclusive listings.

Zillow

Perhaps not the most stunning in terms of images, but there’s a lot of great content related to buying, selling and remodeling homes. Its “Z-Factor” videos are fantastic.

@salernorealestate

A great combination of photography and detailed videos of homes being sold by agent Mark Salerno. You’ll find the content mixes up interior and exterior inspirations, including beautiful gardens.

@stage2prop

Posts focus on buying and renovating real estate rather than presenting the glossy image favored by most agents. The before and after shots of their work are inspirational.

Kevin Vaughan

One of the best Instagram accounts covering the super-luxury end of the market. The photos are stunning. His camera loves the opulent, that’s for sure. The account includes content not about real estate, and that mixes things up nicely.
